Repeatable
N
Name
bitRateReductionCompressionType
Label
Bit Rate Reduction - Compression - Compression Type
Definition
Indicates whether the master file is compressed or uncompressed. If compressed and the compression ratio is known, enter the value in Compression ratio.
Usage Note
Uncompressed should be the default value.
Controlled Vocabulary
Compressed; Uncompressed; Unknown
Repeatable
N
Name
bitRateReductionCompressionRatio
Label
Bit Rate Reduction - Compression - Compression Ratio
Definition
Designates the ratio of compressed file size to uncompressed data.
Usage Note
Should be a positive Integer. For purposes of recording this number, the original size is assumed to be 1, so only the first half of the ratio will be recorded.
Controlled Vocabulary
Free text
Example(s)
10 (for a 10:1 compression ratio); 30 (for a 30:1 compression ratio)
Repeatable
N
Name
bitRateReductionCodec
Group Label
Bit Rate Reduction - Codec
Schema
AES
Definition
Defines the codec (compression algorithm) used to process the audio or video data.

bitRateReductionCodec has the following components:
  • Subelements:
    • codecName
    • codecVersion
    • codecQuality
Controlled Vocabulary

Name
bitRateReductionCodecNameVersion
Label
Bit Rate Reduction - Codec - Codec Name Version
Schema
rulib
Definition
Version of the codec (compression algorithm) used to the process the audio data.
Usage Note
Format as 1.0, 1.1, etc.
Controlled Vocabulary

Repeatable
N
Name
bitRateReductionCodecQuality
Label
Bit Rate Reduction - Codec - Codec Quality
Schema

Bit Rate Reduction - Creating Application - Creating Application Name
Schema
PREMIS
Definition
The name of the application used to create the object in its current format.
Usage Note
The proper name of the application package should be used. The numeric version of the application will be filled into creatingApplication version.
Example(s)
