DescriptionThis Technical Memorandum summarizes the first phase of a two phase study of approximately thirty acres of Passaic River frontage in Newark's Central Business District. The first phase of work consists of an analysis of existing conditions and the generation and testing of alternative concepts for the long-range redevelopment of the site.
NoteSubmitted to the Department of Administration, Office of Planning and Grantsmanship, City of Newark, New Jersey. This first Draft was presented to the Newark Riverfront Steering Committee for review and comment on September 29, 1982, and is not approved for official release.
NotePurpose: To prepare a staged plan for the long-range redevelopment of the riverfront area of downtown Newark.
