Abstract
History of the Reformed Church in Bayonne, and of the city, from the origin of both in the colonial era through 1981. Illustrated with photographs, postcards, handrawn and print maps, and newspaper clippings. The congregation began in 1828 as the Church of Bergen Neck; in 1952 the Reformed and Presbyterian churches merged to become the First Federated Church. With appendixes containing a genealogy of the author, descended from a prominent Dutch family, historic maps and property records.
