Abstract
John Rogers house, 1718. Located on line of old Burlington-Mt. Holly R.R. near Springside. Built by John Rogers, grandson of pioneer John Rogers, and in ownership of his descendants until about 1866. The second oldest house in the County, the original kitchen fire place is 8 ft. across. The antique hardware has been removed and the property is much out of repair. A large buttonwood tree was probably planted when the house was built. The glazed brick ornamentation on the south side indicates the original road as passing there and that the entrance was from the vicinity of Oxmead Rd. Many slaves were quartered on this farm.
