Abstract
The goal of this characterization report is to integrate and synthesize historic, recent, and ongoing research and information for the purpose of defining priority problems and their causes in the estuary. The report divides the estuary into three ecological zones. Historic use, current land use, water quality, toxic substances, habitats and living resources, and general physical characteristics are described.
