Abstract (type = abstract)
In this "I remember" memoir, Peeter Vilms recalls his youth at Seabrook. Since most adults worked in the fields, children of all cultures at Seabrook were sent to nursery school and day camp. Vilms found that comraderie with his diverse peers allowed him to learn English and make friends very easily. The Seabrook Educational and Cultural Center has been soliciting current and past residents of Seabrook Farms for an "I remember" project. Residents are asked to create narratives regarding their experiences at Seabrook Farms. These memories help preserve the history and multi-cultural heritage of Seabrook Farms.
