This document represents NJ's 1998 303(d) List of Water Quality Impaired Waters. It was officially submitted to USEPA as per section 303(d)(1)(A) of the Clean Water Act and is a component of the Statewide Water Quality Management Plan. This List identifies waters that are not attaining or not expected to attain water quality standards after the implementation of technology based effluent limits. This waters are prioritized for Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) analyses. High priority waters are identified for which it is anticipated that TMDLs will be established over the next two years. Waters which were not meeting standards but are meeting standards now are identified for delisting. This List replaces all previous 303(d) Lists.
