The material chosen to be included has a fourfold purpose: 1) to help users identify, describe, and define lake problems; 2) to help them evaluate available lake and watershed management practices for addressing problems or protecting current quality; 3) to describe the process of developing a site-specific lake or reservoir management plan; and 4) to illustrate how to put a lake management plan into practice and evaluate its effectiveness.
NoteThis manual was prepared by the North American Lake Management Society under EPA Cooperative Agreement No. CX-814969.
