List of officers of the camp dated May 30th, 1888.
The Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War were formed as a continuation of the Grand Army of the Republic as a way to carry on the values and traditions of the G.A.R. even past the eventual passing away of the original veterans.
(The S.U.V. website has no record of a General George B. McClellan Camp No. 20 in New Brunswick. See http://www.suvcw.org/suvcamps/newjersey.pdf. There have been, instead, a General George B. McClellan Camp No. 14 in South Amboy, a General George B. McClellan Camp No. 30 in Jersey City, and a General George B. McClellan Camp No. 46 in Bayone. Either there was a recording error somewhere or the camp was never formally recognized.)
