Fifty-four students and faculty visit the Center, whose collection “honors the history and the traditions of immigrants who came to work at the Seabrook Farms and Food Processing Plant, including the 2,500 people of Japanese descent who settled in the 1940s after their forced incarceration during World War II.” Includes footage of students explaining (beforehand) where they’re going and why, and afterward, what they learned. Shown speaking are students Elix Colon (American Studies), Andrew Casal (Psychology and Statistics), Danielle Heggs (History and Africana Studies), Han Du (English and Psychology), and Alison Boldero (English), as well as Trustee and former Seabrook resident John Fuyuume and Japanese-Peruvian and former Seabrook resident Terri Masatani, and former Seabrook resident Setsuko Fuyuume.
