DescriptionProminent playwright, writer, actor and director from India, Girish Karnad reads selections of memoirs and autobiographies from his own family. As he reads stories spanning the twentieth century, he touches upon issues of the household, such as daily life, child rearing, and education. Karnad curates his selections with a special focus on the women of his family to drive classroom discussion and prompt questions that follow his readings.
