DescriptionThe berry guide is intended to provide information for commercial berry growers within the region. It discusses diverse topics including: preplant considerations; soil management and nutrition for berry crops; pesticides, pesticide safety and chemical fumigation; weed management; wildlife damage control; specific discussion of particular kinds of berries (strawberries, blueberries, brambles, gooseberries and currants). Many of the recommendations contained in this guide assume that the production is on a large scale and that producers have a commercial pesticide applicator’s license.
