Abstract

In this clip, Stephanie and Dana continue working on the Towers Problem, introduced in the previous clip in this series. For each tower that they create, Stephanie checks it against the ones they have already created to be sure that it is not a duplicate. Once they have created seventeen towers, they realize that every new tower they build is a duplicate of one that they already have. They tell Amy that they have found seventeen towers and explain that they checked each new tower they built to be sure it is not a duplicate. Amy asks them if there is a way for them to be sure that all their towers are different and that they have not missed any. When Stephanie says that they can compare each tower to every other one, Amy suggests that they double-check that all their towers are unique.
