DescriptionIn this collection of themed essays, the author explores her life as a natural redhead, and addresses cultural stigmas and stereotypes, as well as issues of identity, belonging, and sexuality. In an effort to better understand her experience of the world, and what it means to be a redhead, the author travels to the fictional home of Anne Shirley from Anne of Green Gables, to an international redhead festival in the Netherlands, and back through her own upbringing as the only red-haired member of her family.
