Abstract
A creative thesis containing a collection of short stories linked by themes of identity and existential displacement. Some stories operate within the genre of magical realism and horror, while others align more closely with realism. Each of these stories is preoccupied with the strangeness of what defines and contains our conceptions of the self: gender, sexuality, race, religion, and family.
