Abstract
This VMCAnalytic was created to explore interesting ways to introduce new algebraic concepts to students. "Open Sentences in Two Variables" is a basic topic in Algebra, but it is one that students might not grasp right away when being new to the subject. In the following clips, Researcher Davis introduces algebraic equations with two variables using shapes as symbols to represent the two variables.

In conclusion, different variables are allowed to represent the same number. One variable representing a certain number does not prevent another variable in the equation from also being able to represent that number. It is possible for two variables in an equation to both be representations of the same value.
