Description“Siphons” is a poetry collection motivated by a dream in which a kitchen cockroach admitted to me that they appear in spaces where life has happened, that they siphon memories. I’m interested in how poetry can explore the perspective of reframing and reckoning with fear and love both in a familial and ecological sense. My poems honor the love languages of foodways and superstitions and emphasize the choice of perpetuating what matters—be it joy or a useful lesson—around the wound.
