DescriptionThis course in biology has been specifically designed for terminal students who will not do any further formal study of this subject, and the presentation of the facts and principles have been made with that objective in view. The factual information and illustrative materials included in this course in biology for vocational agriculture students are not presented as being any better for teaching a course in applied biology than that which already exists, but rather represents what has been found useful over a period of years when teaching both high
school vocational agriculture and non-lab or applied biology courses concurrently.
The largest part of the manuscript in this course has been taken directly from lesson plans prepared for presenting farm problems where various scientific principles of biology are involved, over a life -time experience of teaching.
It is understood that many authorities have been drawn upon for the interpretive science and related information included in this course, and to them we are indebted, We have also sought the advice and aid of other persons including regular science and vocational agriculture teachers, in organizing the manuscript from a vocational angle.
