DescriptionThe Delaware River Basin Commission (DRBC) is an interstate/federal agency that manages the water resources within the 13,539-square-mile basin covering portions of Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. This publication covers calendar years 2004 and 2005, and was produced by the DRBC's Public Information Office, with the assistance of numerous commission staff. This 2004-2005 Annual Report contains information about the Commission staff members, a hydrologic summary, DRBC's water quality initiatives, information on spills in the Delaware, news briefs, a financial summary, and a color map of the Delaware River Basin. Some of the articles included are: Basin Plan Officially Adopted in September 2004; 2004: An Active Second Half Includes an Unwelcome Visit from Ivan; 2005: A Year of Severe Flooding and a Drought Close Call; Interim Fisheries Protection Program Approved in 2004; Lower Delaware Designated as Special Protection Waters; Commissioners Establish Innovative New Rule to Reduce PCB Levels; Athos I Oil Spill; and PPL Fly Ash Release.
