DescriptionThis document is a study conducted by the Division of Fish and Wildlife's Endangered and Nongame Species Program. The program was created to prevent the destruction of bald eagles in New Jersey due to the use of pesticides. In this study 59 eagle pairs were monitored for new nest locations, eggs, nestlings, and the eagles' blood was tested. The data collected was used to create a map of eagle nests in New Jersey, population estimates, and the overall health of the species.
