DescriptionIn recognition of this need the State Advisory Committee on Camping
was requested by the Commissioners of Conservation and Health to draft
the New Jersey Private Campgrounds Code. This committee is composed
of staff members of the Department of Conservation and Economic Development
and the State Department of Health together with experienced campers
representing various family camping interests. The committee was created
some years ago to assist in the formulation of policies for the administration
of the family camping program at State-owned facilities, and to advise on
the design and construction of such facilities.
