DescriptionEstuary News is published quarterly by the Partnership for the Delaware Estuary, a private, nonprofit organization established in 1996. The Partnership leads collaborative and creative efforts to protect and enhance the Delaware Estuary and its tributaries for current and future generations. It is the home of the Delaware Estuary Program (DELEP), one of 28 national estuary programs. This Spring 2000 newsletter focuses on: shorebirds and horseshoe crabs; updates from DELEP; news from around the region; Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge; a road trip to Cumberland County; Earth Day 2000 - Philadelphia storm drain stenciling project; teachers and students page (including workshops, and recommended web-sites); Delaware Estuary native plants; and upcoming events.
