DescriptionUnion County commissioned F. X. Browne, Inc. to perform a Phase I Diagnostic-Feasibility Study of Lower Echo Lake. The Diagnostic-Feasibility Study was conducted in two stages. The diagnostic portion of the study was conducted to determine current water quality conditions, identify existing problems, and determine the pollutant sources that are responsible for the observed problems. The feasibility aspect of the study evaluated a variety of lake and watershed management alternatives based on the results of the diagnostic study. The product of this study is a Diagnostic Feasibility Report that provides a recommended management plan for the restoration of Lower Echo Lake.
