DescriptionThis map is a plate from the Everts & Stewart Combination atlas map of Middlesex County, New Jersey : compiled, drawn, and published from personal examinations and surveys. It shows the township of Cranbury, circa 1876, including the names of landowners, Cranbury P.O. and Cranbury Station, Prospect Plains P.O., an inset of the Plainsboro P.O., the Millstone River, and Cranbury Brook. A second page of text, from the introduction to the Atlas, is also included, which describes the village of Cranbury and the boundaries of the township, as well as Stelton, Piscataway, Metuchen, Bonhamtown, and various enterprises.
