DescriptionThis is the seventh in a series of preliminary studies
which will serve as the basis for the comprehensive County Master Plan. This report is
composed of three special studies, each of which analyzes a particular use having unique
significance for our County and sets forth certain recommendations which we hope wi II
help deal more effectively with assets and liabilities of the special problems of each use.
The three studies-" Land Mining, 11 "Agriculture as a Land Use" and "Oyster Resources11 ....;
are concerned with regulating and reclaiming sand and gravel pits, protecting prime agricultural
lands from urban encroachment, and redeveloping the area•s oyster resources.
