DescriptionThis a report that provides guidance through management measures developed by the EPA as assigned by Congress' Coastal Zone Act Reauthorization Amendments of 1990 for sources of nonpoint pollution in coastal waters. The source categories that are addressed are: agriculture, silviculture, urban, marinas, and hydromodification. There is also a chapter of management measures that provides tools for addressing these source categories. These tools include: protection, restoration, and construction of wetlands, riparian areas, and vegetated treatment systems. The EPA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) have also published together a final guidance for the approval of State programs that enact management measures. It explains in more detail how the State programs will implement the management measures guidance.
