DescriptionThis design study describes the development plans for park and recreational facilities located on Cattus Island in Ocean County, New Jersey. The park will be a valuable addtition to the community by providing recreational activities and preserving the marshlands and woodlands of the area. A collection of maps are included that were used to interpret the natural and man-made resources of Cattus Island, including salt marsh and woodland vegetation, wildlife and climate. The implementation section provides details of the four stages of development including cost estimates. Illustrations are also included detailing overnight shelters, the nature study center, camp sites, the observation deck, etc.
