DescriptionThe mission of the Emerson Environmental Commission is to educate and advise the community on environmental issues. Its actions are guided by borough ordinances and the expertice of its members, who are committed to the importance of conservation in conjuction with progress. In addition, historical data is collected and preserved for future generations. The commission achieves this mission through monthly meetings, an annual newsletter, and by working in partnership with the mayor and council, other boards and commissions and residents of the Borough of Emerson. Contained here are the Spring 2001 and Fall 2003 newsletters for the Emerson Environmental Commission. They contain the annual report, along with articles about the West Nile virus, waste reduction, shade trees, soil movement, protecting local watersheds, leaf disposal, pesticides, and the Emerson Woods.
