DescriptionThe Route 206 Groundwater Protection Study examined the existing physiologic conditions and potential impact of local zoning on ground surface water resources located in the general vicinity of the Route 206 corridor. The report concentrated on permitted land uses on Roxbury Township at the time and the land use potential for polluting the local ground and surface water system. Recommendations were made to provide increased protection of ground and surface water resources by identifying well head protection areas, adjusting zoning regulations, and encouraging clustering and lot average with subdivisions and site plans.
