DescriptionThis geologic map of New Jersey shows by means of color and symbols the kinds of rock (sedimentary, igneous, and metamorphic) and the age of various formations that underlie all parts of New Jersey. Geologic eras included are Pre-Cambrian, Cambrian, Cambro-ordovician, Ordovician, Post-Ordovician, Silurian, Devonian, Triassic, Cretaceous, Tertiary, and Quaternary. The map also shows prominent superficial deposits.
