DescriptionA study was undertaken to survey available undeveloped upland wetland areas in Egg Harbor Township in order to assess their suitability as potential habitats for State and Federally listed threatened and endangered species. Results of the study indicated that a short list of four wildlife species were likely to find suitable habitats in upland or wetland situations in various locations throughout Egg Harbor Township: Pine Barrens Treefrog (Hyla andersoni) Baird, Bog Turtle (Clemmys muhlenbergii) Schoepff, Northern Pine Snake (Pituophis melanoleucus) Daudin, Barred Owl (Strix varia) Barton.
