Workflow Management System
Improved User Interface
Streamlined workflow navigation. It is now more focused on and optimized for general-user digital material cataloging process.
The options for switching to different modules, including user account management, are now available to the user at any stage of working in WMS.
Sub-functional module navigation buttons are moved to the top of the screen, and are available to the user no matter which sub-module he/she is working in.
Switching between collections can now be performed at any stage of metadata and digital object workflow.
Metadata cataloging
To improve the performance of the utility and the user experience, the handling and processing of metadata cataloging within the session have been moved to client side.
Long-existing bugs in the handling of event metadata cataloging have been fixed, along with other identified issues.
Template
Ability to create a template record from another template record as well as an existing record.
Able to enter CV terms when creating a template.
The name of the template is displayed on the metadata entry screen.
Handles no longer appear in a template record.

Automated creation of XACML policy for embargoed resources if certain metadata fields have been populated with certain pre-defined values (trigger). Current trigger is: rights metadata must have the following entries in the rights event:

Faculty Deposit Module
Faculty members can deposit NIH funded articles directly using the new features added.
Under Title of Journal, volume number, issue number, date, start page and end page added.
Faculty members have access to view download statistics for their collection
RUcore search and display
Improved "showfed" display.
Collection objects are suppressed from the results list by default except the RUresearch portal.
By default, the collection structure is hidden, and a "+" button is added to expand the collection tree.
By default, the collections are unselected.
Record results are transformed using new XML binding method allowing multiple data sources to provide record information.

Known Issues in RUcore Release 5.2
Workflow Management System (WMS)
Some older records in WMS may not ingest. Resaving the record seems to resolve the issue.
Ghostscript in WMS has some problem creating thumbnails for some PDFs.
RUcore Search
Search and retrieval in RUcore seems to be slow. We are investigating the issue.
