She served as an Aerographer's Mate in Washington, DC, NAS Cecil Field in Jacksonville, FL, Livermore, CA, and NAS Ottumwa, IA, reaching the 1st Class rating. Her duties as a "weatherman" were to collect and record the weather maps and make forecasts.
