DescriptionThis document has been prepared by the New Jersey DEP's Green Acres Program to meet the legislative mandate for an open space master plan for the State Land Acquisition Program contained in PL 2002 Chapter 76. The 2005-2007 Land Preservation Plan adopts seven goals for the preservation of open space in New Jersey. The Plan contains eight sections that discuss various elements of New Jersey's Open Space Program and the Green Acres State Land Acquisition Program. The Plan is organized as follows: Introduction, New Jersey's Land Preservation Program, NJ Open Space Providers, State Land Acquisition Process, 2005 - 2007 State Land Acquisition Projects, 2004 State Development Projects, Statewide Water Resource Initiatives, and Implementation Plan.
