Abstract
Parrish family mansion, Oxmead Rd., was built before 1800 by an ancestor of Dr. Parrish who was a noted physician of Civil War days. He later lived here and built the incongruous addition in the rear. The glazed brick was of especially fine construction. Interior was will designed in the elaborate ornamentation of the period. This property was probably the show place of the vicinity.
