Abstract
Charles F. Seabrook was the chairman and founder of Seabrook Farms. During World War II, he fought vigorously to convince the government to release Japanese internees from the internment camps so that they could relocate to Seabrook Farms. He offered steady jobs and income, housing, and a supportive community. He also recruited German prisoners of war, and refugees from Estonia and Latvia.
