Abstract

In the third clip, researcher Amy Martino then worked with Mark and Laura. Mark justified his solution using each model he built. The researcher asked Mark if he thought that a different model might yield a different solution to the problem. Mark replied that if it was a flawed model, it might, but that otherwise he thought the solution would always be the same. Laura also explained her solution to the researcher. Laura’s model used the purple rod as one, two red rods as one half, and four white rods as one fourth.
