Theodore Marcus (Teddy) Edwards, Sr. (b. 1924), was an American tenor saxophonist. As a child he toured the South as a professional musician and later worked in Detroit and Tampa, Florida, before settling in Los Angeles. He became a key figure in the development of bop. In Los Angeles, he composed and arranged for film, television, and radio, working with Tom Waits, among others. As composer and commentator, Edwards contributed to a number of symposia devoted to the history of Los Angeles' Central Avenue.
