Purpose of Project: The purpose of this project was to determine if educating students and practicing NP’s about telemedicine through an online continuing education module would result in an increase in knowledge, attitude and confidence.
Methodology: The purpose of this project was achieved by educating students and practicing NP’s through an online telemedicine educational module on CANVAS. Participants knowledge, attitudes, and confidence were measured by using TeleOSCE survey pre and post-educational module. Knowledge retention of telemedicine practice was also measured with pre-/post-test.
Results: Participants found telemedicine training beneficial, which was reflected by increases in their knowledge, attitude, and confidence.
Implications for practice: Telemedicine training helps with current gaps in clinical education by improving NP learners' knowledge and confidence with telemedicine.
