DescriptionThe field of organocatalysis developed quickly in the last two decades. The possibilities of organocatalysis working with other catalysis mode are starting to get explored more often in recent years. This dissertation presents a comprehensive review of enamine- and metal-co-catalyzed reactions in chapter one. An interesting autocatalyzed metal- and oxygen-free C-C bond cleavage of aldehyde was discussed in chapter two. In chapter three, study on regioselectivity of enamine- and metal-co-catalyzed allylation of unbiased α,β-unsaturated aldehyde is reported, including the first asymmetric α-allylation of α,β-unsaturated aldehyde, concise synthesis route of (S)-bakuchiol and conditions to favor the formation of γ-allylation product. In chapter four, the synthesis of proline-bipyridine-derived potential bifunctional catalysts is reported. The molecules are possible to activate carbonyl functionality and coordinate to a metal center at the same time.
